Fiber Artists Near Tyler Texas

Penny Hurst, organizer of the newly forming Fiber Artists group near Tyler Texas reported a great initial meeting with 15 artist from around the Tyler area.  The group was enthusiastic about the new group and the opportunities to work to provide regular meetings and other events.

Vickie Lacy also joined in with the leading of the group.

The group plans to meet again in June.  Ms. Hurst asked that fiber artists in East Texas spread the word about the new group to other groups that they are members.  Please continue to check with the Texas Federation of Fiber Artists website for more details.

 
Houston Area Fiber Artists

Houston Area Fiber Artists is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to maintain and advance fiber as an art form through the education of its members and to promote appreciation and encourage support of fiber as an art form by the public through exhibitions and educational activities.
Members are involved in the creation of original design in fiber media: baskets,
clothing, dolls, felt, books and paper, jewelry, quilts, stitchery, weaving, surface
design and more.
Houston Area Fiber Artists became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt organization in 2003.
