Please help the Georgetown community Yarn Bomb the Courthouse on the square. Knitted and crocheted items can be dropped off at the Williamson Museum, across the street from the Courthouse, no later then September 9, 2014. The installation will begin at 9am on September 11, 2014. Several groups that serve children are collaborating for this event.

Nationally known fiber artist, Leslie Jenison will be the featured speaker for the Austin Fiber Artists on August 21, during the regular monthly meeting.
Her lecture is: “The Journey IS The Destination”
She will also be the featured speaker at the San Antonio Fiber Artist meeting in San Antonio in September.

The Austin Fiber Artists organization has been accepted to have a show at the Dougherty Arts Museum. Members have submitted their original Fiber art pieces for jury selection. The show will go up August 1 at the downtown City of Austin museum. Check back here for more information on the dates for the opening reception.
